After training in illustration at Southampton Institute I began to focus on local photography and painting, taking inspiration from the dramatic landscape of South Wales. I walk frequently in the valleys and along the Gwent levels with sea-views across the Severn Estuary - striving to capture the tranquility and turbulence of the skies, and the bright colours of the landscape. Beyond Wales I paint scenes from my travels, emphasising street perspectives and scenes of everyday life. I work in oils.
