Diane was awarded a Master of Arts degree from the University of Wales in 2004. Her studies actually took place in East London, at the Princes School of Traditional Art (Shoreditch). She specialized in the practice of early Medieval illuminated manuscripts. Diane moved to Wales from Kent in the summer of 2005. Her better half is Welsh, Carmarthenshire born and bred, and he wanted to come home!
Diane has previously been commissioned by Hereford Cathedral to make replicas of the illuminated pages of the Hereford Gospels. She has also made an entire illuminated manuscript (both script and illuminations), after the early Medieval style, of The Gospel of Thomas, which is now on display at St David's Cathedral Library.
She has exhibited her work at various places, including Chichester Cathedral and the Alberto Vilar Gallery, London. She is represented by Origin Dyfed Gallery, Blue Street, Carmarthen.
