I spent my early years in Bristol S.W.England. I emigrated to Yugoslavia, when it was still Yugoslavia, in 1972 and discovered,after always thinking that painting oil on canvas was the accepted way, the unique practice of oil painting on glass. I became fascinated with this technique and studied it in Zagreb visiting some of the world famous Yugoslav artists such as Mijo Kovacic, Ivan Generalic and Ivan Lackovic who lived just outside Zagreb. I studied their individual techniques and perfected my own style. I returned to Britain just before the start of the Balkans War and have continued painting oil on glass and exhibiting ever since.
