I have been sculpting and painting since I was a youth. Working originally with wood, I have now returned to this after years of producing works in many other materials, such as the cold cast John Lennon sculpture and the Cavern Wall of Fame in Mathew Street and the overlife size statues of the Beatles which adorn the front of the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool. Recently I also developed and exhibited succesfully a one man show 'The Real Meaning of Life' at the Liverpool One centre. Since retirement I have resumed painting inspired by a fascination of the sea, sailing and ecology, spending time observing nature, looking for shapes and patterns, simplyfying what I see in terms of form ,tone and colour and then interpreting these into the final design.
