This painting is a view of Headstone Viaduct, Monsal Dale, with the addition of a steam pulled train heading out across the viaduct towards Buxton from the Headstone Tunnel. This is artistic licence, because the line fell victim to the Beeching axe in 1968, but is justifiable because it was painted for a rail enthusiast! Although the original has gone, prints and cards are available.
