This piece was created as a bridge between worlds, the one we walk through each day and the one we return to in dreams. The sleeping figure is imagined as an elf-self, resting in a realm where the boundaries between memory and imagination soften. Beside her lies a guardian cat, inspired by a beloved companion whose presence continues beyond the physical world. Their bond was one of profound love, and this artwork became a way to honour that connection in a space where it still feels alive.
Symbols of protection and intuition appear throughout: the dreamcatcher filtering energies, the moon guiding the passage between realms, and the water carrying the emotional depth of reunion. This illustration holds a deeply personal meaning, a tender moment of meeting a loved soul again, in the place where dreams hold what the heart refuses to forget.
