My cousin encountered this guy in his travels. Without knowing his story, I have seen a story in his face. He has seen the desert, and the heat, and probably ridden a camel. He's adept at tying that scarf around his head beautifully. His eyes are tired but at the same time inquisitive. There is wisdom and joy in this man, and I wanted to capture this in my drawing.
Graphite on Bristol paper.
Drawing comes mounted with backing.
