With a deep-rooted love for the natural world, I create art that celebrates the beauty, complexity, and wonder of all living things. My work draws inspiration from the traditions of scientific illustration, where observation, precision, and storytelling come together to honour the life around us, from birds in mid-flight to delicate insects and botanical forms.
Growing up in South Africa surrounded by Robert's bird guides, David Attenborough documentaries and wild landscapes, I developed a passion not just for art, but for understanding the creatures I paint. Each piece is a quiet tribute to the magic found in nature, capturing its details with care, respect, and curiosity.
Beyond my own practice, I’m working toward opening a community art gallery: a creative space where artists can teach, share, and inspire. I believe art should connect people to nature, to knowledge, and one another.
