London-born artist living abroad and pining for England.I work mainly in acrylics but increasingly in cut paper collage after a chance encounter last year with a pile of old Vogues beside a rubbish bin. I love: folk art and history, Staffordshire pottery, old textiles and plates, gardens, broadsheet woodcuts, Blake, Douannier Rousseau, Kahlo, Alfred Wallis, Ravilious, Bawden, the Romantic movement, browsing in books, mooching in museums, Sussex, old buildings, cats, the sea ......Exhibitions include group and solo shows in the UK, Spain and New York.My work is in many private collections in the UK, Spain and the US; in corporate collections such as those of the Hogg Robinson Group and Casinos de Tenerife and in the Rutherstone Collection, Manchester City Art Gallery. I am a member of the Association of British Naive Artists.
