Alan has had an almost seamless spirit combined with great passion and imagination for the work that he creates.
Born one of four in Kidderminster, Worcestershire from a very early age both Alan and his brothers and sister took an interest in drawing painting and design. Alan still lives in Kidderminster married to his true love Karen in 1994 she was the girl from across the road they had lived opposite one another all their lives before getting married.
Alan still works carrying out a full time job, as well as creating stunning images which are inspired from Welsh and Scottish landscapes with their dramatic atmospheres captured on camera and produced onto canvas, along with images taken from the Natural world and beyond also from pure imagination. Alan hopes that one day he will be able to devote all of his time to his art work which is his true passion in life. Alan continuously pushes the boundaries of his art trying new techniques and medias on various surfaces to capture different textures and feelings to his work. He also uses music to help set the mood and help him create the images that he paints. Music plays a vital part of this process and is a big part of his artistic life.
Alan has now reached the stage where he is hoping to pass his techniques and passion onto others through Art workshops which he is aiming to do in 2015.
I think that you will agree that as a self-taught artist the works are truly amazing, changing with every stroke the brush, breath taking and capturing the very essence of the subject with phenomenal results, drawing people in and hoping that the mood and subject will bring them into the world where the magic is created.
