Her first big break came in 2020 when she was selected to show her work at Derwent Pencils Museum in Keswick. Her work was then featured in the Wandsworth Journal of Art as an upcoming artist. Consequently Zahra was invited to show her work at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello during the Venice Biennale in 2022. Her work was selected by Guildford House Museum & Gallery, and White Cube Gallery, HAC. This year she was awarded the prestigious Leonardo da Vinci Prize for Universal Artist 2025 and International Prize Artists of the French Riveira. This year The European Art Team International Magazine - Collectors edition published an article about her. Currently Zahra is collaborating with Barnet Council on Loving Life – Art Project which brings together Art, Education and Accessibility.
Zahra grew up in Portugal. She studied creative visual arts and settled in London. Her training was academic, learning form the great masters of the Italian Renaissance and the neo-classical period. Her early work shows this influence. After completing her training she experimented in an impressionistic and modern style with success. Today she continues to paint in this manner using bright colours and light. Zahra is also exploring conceptual work using fruit as a subject. Her work looks at the relationship between the title of a work and image, and how that guides the interpretation of the viewer. She continues to work conceptually on a biographical project in preparation for a show in New York
