Amature artist living in Kent, started painting for the first time during the Covid year. I was looking for a hobby and pastime that I could continue once back at work and travelling away. Painting for me is relaxing and with music in the background, I find it really floats my boat.
I work from a small garden studio and as I look towards retirement, I will be able to dedicate more time to what is now a passion.
I love to create a modern twist to my artwork, using bold colours and often rougher strokes and knifes to give the subject texture.
I generally paint in either Acrylic or watercolour, occasionally mixing media.
Not that I'm planning to go but when the time comes, I want my headstone to read " He discovered art late in his life, he wished it had been sooner because he could have enjoyed this wonderful waste of time for much longer "
