Produced in April 2025. I am loving the development and direction my painting is undergoing at the moment. I am deliberately working the paint in a loose and more expressively way than previous works. Bright colours are still important to me but I've stated to introduce thinner areas of paint. Sometimes I'll rub the paint back to the primed surface and sometimes spaying the paint out. I've tried to convey a sense of drama and atmosphere , with as few movements in the paint as possible.
This is the first time I've managed to keep things simple while retaining as much expression as possible.
This painting suggests the likely direction of future works as being loose and highly expressive, possibly with texture added later.
