I am Rob Jones and I have lived many lives.
I was born in Manchester in 1972 in to a hard working family, Dad out working nights and Mum supporting the family unit.
There were hardships growing up but, we never went hungry and we always had a roof over our heads until I left home at 16. I was homeless for several months and lived ‘rough’ in local woodland, one January morning I woke covered in frost and from that moment luckily, I was able to pull myself out of that situation.
I then followed many paths in working and relationships, these are what have moulded me in to what I am today and have directed me to the Artist I have become.
During my school years, I studied Art in a local comprehensive with an absolutely fabulous inspiring Art teacher. Unfortunately, due to the different pathways of life, I couldn’t go on to study Art further academically. This didn’t stop me from continuing to paint and sketch, with a deep yearning to follow this dream but, the dream had to be locked away due to circumstances.
The paths that I have followed throughout my years have given me lots of experiences some good, some not so but, each path I have chosen has given me inspiration that I have sketched or painted, be it something physical like a place or a feeling within me as can be seen in my art pieces.
Over the years I have painted with various mediums and in the ‘90’s I had my works displayed in a hotel lobby in Manchester and also sold watercolour paintings through a local gallery, I have also sold pieces to collectors in the USA and Europe.
I now reside in Worcestershire and am beginning to live my dreams with an amazing, supportive partner who gives me inspiration everyday along with, endless cups of coffee!
