I love drawing and painting owls - they have such a solitary, mysterious aspect about them and I wanted to capture that in this artwork. Using a muted forest background allowed me to let the detail of the owl come through. A bold and powerful depiction of one of these magnificent birds. Perfect for any bird enthusiast.
The surface is Uart sanded paper. This professional 360gsm pastel paper is pH7 neutral and has archival permanence. Professional grade soft pastels and pastel pencils were used to create this artwork.
