Gill Farrington

I am mostly a self taught artist. My father was an amateur artist and watching him was my inspiration from a very early age. I studied art formally at Farnham Art College and then completed a diploma in art from the online London College which I passed with Merit. I have also trained in art and design for textiles.
My main interests are in painting botanical or floral paintings, although I do enjoy landscapes as well. Living in beautiful Pembrokeshire, in the Preseli mountains there is plenty of inspiration. My studio is in our rather wild garden and is totally overcrowded with my art and craft. I usually have to share thus space with one or more of my four cats.
I have recently fallen in love with alcohol inks and am fascinated by the patterns they create. I also use them on ceramics and other materials as well as creating interesting artworks.
Currently my art work is available at Fishguard Artisans gallery , Pembrokeshire. In the past my artwork has featured in galleries in Narberth and I have had two major exhibitions in the galleries at Picton Castle
