Alexandra Ghimisi

Alexandra Ghimisi is a Romanian-born contemporary fine artist based in the UK. A graduate of the National University of Arts Bucharest, where she earned a BA (Hons) in Decorative Arts in 2008, Alexandra transitioned from a successful career in interior design to focus on her passion for painting. Since relocating to the UK in 2016, she has become an active member of the local art scene, exhibiting widely and sharing her knowledge as an art tutor with Inspire Culture.

Alexandra is a member of the National Acrylic Painters' Association, a Fellow of the Nottingham Society of Artists, and a member of the Visual Artists Association.

In 2021, she held her first solo exhibition at the Nottingham Society of Artists Gallery, a pivotal moment in her artistic journey.
In 2024, Alexandra participated in Women in Art exhibition during the London Biennale, further establishing her reputation.
Her work can be found in both public and private collections across Europe, including France, Italy, and Switzerland.

Passionate about fostering artistic growth, Alexandra regularly organizes exhibitions that feature the work of her students, providing emerging artists with platforms for exposure. Her dedication to nurturing creativity and her commitment to her craft continue to shape her journey as a contemporary artist.
