I’m an Irish artist living in the far north of Scotland with a love of animals, dramatic skies, vibrant colours and plenty of texture.

As well as original artwork of wild and farmed animals, I also accept pet portrait commissions.  Animals inspire much of my artwork and my goal is always to capture the essence of their personality and soul with every brushstroke.

My work is always evolving, which I believe is important for any artist, so along with discovering new styles and techniques my subject matter is also expanding to include sea and landscapes inspired by the rugged beauty of the far north coast and the amazing skies in such a remote part of the UK. Nature's own palette inspires my landscapes which focus on the dramatic skies created by sunrises and storms.  The real world these days can be grey and serious so I love to bring a splash of colour to my palette and your walls with my vibrant paintings.

In 2014I won first prize in the GreatArt Postcard Challenge art competition with a close up of a rain soaked leaf on a gravel driveway and I was delighted to win the artist category in the Scottish Renewables Green Energy Awards 2015 with my painting 'A lot more than green' depicting a glorious Scottish sunrise behind Baillie Wind Farm.
