Anna Virabyan was born in Tbilisi, Georgia (1985) and grew up in an artistic family. Anna was ''born to be an artist'' painting from a very young age and progressing to study ''Silk Painting Art'' at the Sochi School of Art (2000 - 2002) and graduated from University - majoring in Design Environment - from Sochi, Russia, in 2008.
Anna is a specialist, applying her own unique techniques, in watercolour. She has a love of bold colours, warm and cold, with a range from ochre, ultramarine blue to the red, purple tones combined with a bold use of light and shadow making both her realistic and decorative style of painting look modern and full of life.
She uses her well practised watercolour painting techniques - wet on wet and wet on dry - but loves to experiment with other implements including: sprays, scrapers, sponges, sticks, salt and anything else she can find to make her work special.
With her own style and techniques, and an inherited family love of art, Anna is equally at home working in watercolour and graphics, portraits and landscape, towns and scenic coastal views or the human figure - in a decorative of realistic manner.
Anna is now working and living - with her husband and young family, in the beautiful coastal location of Bournemouth, Dorset, and is exhibiting her art locally.
